Time and days whizzes by so fast! This is another delayed post. Last month, the three of us drove to Albury to visit my mum and dad. Finally, and an overdue visit but understandably so because work and life can just take over. And days and weeks can pass by so quickly these days and what’s a relatively short distance to travel can still take time, effort and moola. Anyhow, we got there in the end, even if for just a quick visit, and it was still quality time well spent together. It’s always great to touch base with mum and dad and talk to them every Sunday on the phone. (Although, sometimes I do forget or am too busy to call on the day.) But seeing them in real life and speaking to them face to face and being able to touch and smell them when we hug is just pure gold. As expected, my parents are getting older. (And who isn’t right?) But I’m happy to report that they’re both doing well and healthy, keeping as active as they can and eating well too. Dad still drives (although not long distances) and mum still cooks the most amazingly delicious Lao foods. Both still wake up early and both still look very stylish when they go out. So, a message and reminder to you (and me) is this. If your parents are still alive (lucky you) and if you haven’t seen them for a while, I recommend that you find the bloody time and do so. And the more often, the better. Put your excuses and differences aside and go and see them while you still can. Make the most of this golden opportunity because time and mortality waits for no one. Who knows what can happen tomorrow? I certainly don’t. So, don’t leave it until it’s too late. Go and visit your parents while you still can and spend priceless quality time and experiences with them. Your parents and family love you so much.

Thank you for such a beautiful post Ngeuna. Such love and respect is very inspiring. I hope Mum and Dad can read this and that as many people as possible can also do so as it is full of such wisdom and love.
We must see the other half as soon as possible. It has been way too long and time goes past so very fast and we do not want to regret not doing so, as you have said.
Great to see you back and thank you for your great purity and great love!!
It inspires us every day and (possibly) much more than you may realise.
We love you so very much Numbat!!
Eternally.

Your words are wise, my friend. This year marks 30 years since my mother died, and 20 since my father passed. I have just turned 60 and have spent half of my life wishing I hadn’t spent more time with my parents… I am so glad you had such a nice visit, and that Dove was readily welcomed into the family. Have a wonderful day! David

Thank you David. I hope other people who read this know the value of spending more time with their parents while they still can and do so. Hope you two are having a great time too. Ngeun :)
